The U.S. Military Enhanced Tactical Load-Bearing Vest, commonly known as the ETLBV or LBV, is a genuine U.S.-issued vest constructed from durable nylon with a breathable mesh body in classic M81 Woodland camouflage. It features padded shoulder straps, a quick-release front buckle, adjustable side cordage, and four integrated magazine pouches with a total capacity of six standard rifle magazines. Two smaller grenade pouches provide additional storage for medical supplies, tools, or other compact equipment. The vest attaches to a standard ALICE LC-2 belt using integrated snap and hook-and-loop belt loops and adjusts to fit a wide range of users over uniforms, jackets, or body armor. The non-enhanced LBV features a solid fabric body instead of mesh and has a noticeably different magazine-pouch angle. These are genuine military-surplus items and may show fading, stains, writing, repairs, loose threads, or other signs of service use.
Both Generation 1 and Generation 2 vests may be available. Generation 1 vests feature a solid fabric body without mesh and have straight, non-angled magazine pouches. Generation 2 vests feature a breathable mesh body for improved airflow and angled magazine pouches for easier access.
