ROK Cold Weather Field Jacket Outer Shell (Granite B Pattern)
Issued to Republic of Korea (ROK) forces operating along one of the most heavily fortified borders on earth, this is the outer shell component of the ROK cold-weather uniform system. Built for wind, cold, and extended field use, this jacket is designed for real service—not parade wear or cosplay.
Often mistaken for a standard Granite B field shirt, this piece is actually intended to be worn over insulating layers. It is heavier and more structured than the standard BDU top and serves as a true cold-weather service jacket shell used across ROK Army units, with limited use in Navy and Air Force elements.
Constructed from a durable, treated cotton-blend fabric, the jacket offers wind resistance while remaining breathable enough for active use. The Granite B digital camouflage was developed specifically for Korea’s rocky, mountainous terrain and urban environments, giving it a distinct appearance compared to common U.S. digital patterns.
Design-wise, this jacket leans practical and no-nonsense. Features include a full front zipper, angled chest pockets, buttoned shoulder epaulettes, and bicep sleeve pockets for quick-access storage. Hook-and-loop panels on the collar and cuffs allow for rank or unit identifiers. The cut is intentionally generous to allow layering—this is not meant to fit like a lightweight blouse.
Outside of Korea, these cold-weather Granite B shells are significantly harder to source than standard field shirts. Most examples enter the surplus market in limited quantities through overseas channels. We secured a solid batch so you can grab one without playing import roulette.
