Originally issued to the German Bundeswehr, this Mehler Vario System ballistic vest is a genuine piece of early military equipment. Manufactured in June 1999, these vests were designed to provide German troops with modular soft armor protection while carrying essential combat equipment.

The vest features an integrated Flecktarn camouflage cover with an armored collar, adjustable side closures, and three front-mounted G36 magazine pouches. Additional mounting points allow for further mission-specific equipment, making it an iconic example of German military gear from the late 1990s.
